How we work

Once we are given a particular recruitment assignment it becomes our responsibility to find and recommend / place the strongest candidate, working closely with our client. We will utilise the most appropriate sourcing and selection methods available and will look to present a shortlist of candidates who can do the job and want to do the job in the quickest, most cost-effective way we can. The following explains the way we work in more detail:

The Proposal
Once a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements has been established, we will produce a comprehensive proposal to outline how the assignment will progress.

(The proposal will include position and candidate specifications, estimated timescales, fee structures, recommended recruitment approach and our terms of business.)

The Candidate Briefing Pack
We will draft for client approval a Candidate Briefing Pack which is designed to get suitable candidates excited about the opportunity and inform them about the company, the role, the person we are looking for, the package on offer, the selection process we are going through and provide other information they will need.
This confidential document will be provided to shortlisted candidates to help prepare them for second and third interviews and is an essential part of the process to ascertain their interest and motivation

The Search & Selection Process
We have available a full range of candidate sourcing methods including print & on-line advertising, in-house research facilities, an extensive candidate database and a wide network of confidential advisers and contacts in the sector we can use to identify / check out prospective candidates.

Our approach is proactive and as a result we will look to present the strongest possible shortlist of candidates available from New Zealand and overseas. We will undertake initial interviews which combine a biographical and competency based approach and which gives an in-depth understanding of each candidate. We can advise on and offer any appropriate selection techniques including assessment centres, advice on second interview format and psychometric testing (read more..). Our aim is to help the client make the best, most informed decision possible.
